24 Hour Plays

In my senior year of college, a friend and I, disappointed at our school's theater opportunities, decided to put on 24 hour plays. We invited students from the neighboring schools of Wellesley, Babson, and Brandeis, as well as our own school to write, direct, and rehearse 10 minute plays in a day, with the performance starting exactly 24 hours after the writing process began.

We had a great time with this. I wrote a play and acted in a different one, with about 5 or 6 plays being performed in total, ranging in theme from weird and hilarious to intense and profound.

One of the most rewarding parts of this experience for me was hearing that people liked it so much that they organized it for a second year, after both me and my friend graduated.
