Fishermen Games Concept
In this project, I worked on a team of 5 people in a class called User Oriented Collaborative Design. We spent the semester interviewing fishermen in Massachusetts to learn about them and their needs. Each interview lasted about 60-90 minutes, and we learned about their needs and issues as well as co-designing with them. At the end of the semester, our work culminated in the presentation of a product that would significantly improve the lives of our user. We ended up arriving at “Fishermen Games”, a celebration of strength that would encourage fishermen to strengthen their muscles before the season, ultimately preventing overuse injuries throughout their lives.
I worked closely with users in this project, meeting with most of the fishermen we spoke to. I also took a leadership role on the team, helping us thrive even when the project became remote halfway through the semester, and helping us receive feedback well throughout the process.
