In my sophomore and senior years of college, I lead my college's outing club Labor Day weekend trip. Each year, we would lead easy, medium, and hard hikes in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, an experience that creates a space for first years to get to know upper classmen very early on in the college experience.

Since the trip can sometimes involve over 150 people over the course of three days, it can be very challenging to lead, and I've had both great and very difficult experiences leading this trip.
