In the summer of 2022, I worked as a sea kayak guide on the south shore of Lake Superior, in Cornucopia, WI. I really enjoyed this guiding work, as it taught me both a new skill of sea kayaking and helped strengthen my leadership skills in many contexts, from improving my customer service skills to increasing my risk assessment ability in more dangerous and emergency situations.

Additionally, after being a staff member at a summer camp for multiple years, this felt like the next step in terms of work in the outdoor industry, as it allowed me to work with a wide variety of ages and experience levels on a more dangerous body of water.
