For this project, I made a self-portrait using only type as an assignment for a visual design class. As part of the assignment, we were only allowed to grow or shrink the type, but not stretch it or change its color. This was an interesting assignment, as it made me think about how to create weight and shading in unusual ways. Additionally, it made me start thinking about balance and spacing choices in a way I hadn't considered before.
